Product Selection

Many factors must be considered in selecting the correct type of vibration isolator but the choices can be rapidly reduced when certain parameters are identified.
Simplified selection may be made by referring to the AV Mount Selection table  and by viewing the Product Picture Gallery.

The mass of the load to be isolated will quickly eliminate some types of mount and the fixing method (free standing / fixed to both base and isolated equipment / fixed to only the isolated equipment) will further reduce the options available.

For isolation of equipment where the centre of gravity is not uniform in relation to the possible mounting positions, it may be necessary (particularly when using spring mounts) to select different mounts such that the deflection at each mounting point is similar.

If in any doubt, please contact our sales office and provide as much information as possible. Alternatively, please complete the on-line enquiry form.
