Conic Marina

The Vibrostop CONIC MARINA mount comprises a hollow waisted cylinder with fixing studs protruding from each end.
As with the CONIC mount, the load acting along the axis of symmetry causes a compound stress due to internal air pressure and compression/shear within the elastomer.  The result is a very useful progressive damping effect. The overall design provides for high deflection under load and a low natural frequency making this mount suitable for shock loads and/or low disturbing frequency applications.

The original application for these mounts was for the Italian Navy, to suit demanding and severe conditions requiring exceptional qualities of strength and durability together with other special features.
Long and arduous tests were conducted with apparatus designed simulate the specific military requirements for these mounts in order to fine tune the design.
